Holy crap.
There’s this guy on YouTube, kutiman. He’s made a collection of… err… mash-ups(?) of loads of performance he’s found on YouTube, making completely new songs out of them. This is beyond Girl Talk, guys. This is mindblowing. Must be seen to be believed. His collection is surprisingly ecclectic, with songs covering funk, dub, trip-hop, glitch, lounge, hip-hop (okay, that sounds like the description of a terrible DJ, but it’s awesome). The videos are just as important as the music, with hilarious moments like the white guy doing a Rastafari rant in the second song, all the super-serious instrument players thrown in the middle of party jams, and just the mom’s basementness of all the videos. It’s Jason Forrest (btw, when is he giving us another album), gone YouTube. This is 2009’s thing, guys.
