24. Paul Steel - Moon Rock
Sometimes record companies are idiots. Like with Paul Steel’s record. It’s a fantastic power pop record with ELO slathered all over it. The production and arrangement are amazing. However, when the single above, “Your Loss,” failed to chart (in the UK, were singles are more a measure of success) the label dropped him without releasing the album. Luckily it had leaked long before, so we don’t have to wait for him to get re-signed. Listen and talk to me if you want to hear the rest.
