30. Paavoharju - Laulu Laakson Kukista
It’s rare you hear a band as utterly unique as Paavoharju. Not just in music but as what the band is. You might expect this kind of other-wordly unique music out of some drugged-out Icelanders, but not out of a Finnish band consisting of two born-agin Christian, abstinent, teetotallers. But there you go. The music is super-dense. Melodies flit in and out of a haze. Songs have no real structure. And it’s all in Finnish. It’s listen-with-your-whole-head music. This isn’t music to do the dishes to.
