39. The Wave Pictures - Instant Coffee Baby
All those great Scottish post-punk bands of the early eighties (Orange Juice, Aztec Camera, Associates, et al) have kind of been forgotten by hipsters, but it’s nice to see a band that just whole-heartedly apes that style. Because it’s a great style to ape. Great indie pop with darling lyrics.
