Boycott Olive Garden and Darden Restaurants

I have read that Olive Garden has decided to pull its ads from the The Late Show with David Letterman after the campaign spearheaded by right-wing pundits such as John Ziegler.  The fact that Olive Garden would bow to the pressure of those who deliberately misinterpreted Letterman’s joke about Sarah Palin’s daughter (clearly he was speaking about the older daughter, as a joke about the younger getting “knocked up” wouldn’t make sense) frankly disgusts me.  The fact that your organization would cow-tow to pressure of folks who are clearly just looking for anyone they can attack and smear is greatly upsetting.  Until Olive Garden reinstates its advertising for David Letterman, I refuse to eat at Olive Garden or any other Darden Restaurants establishment.  I am going to encourage others to do the same.
